Fine Art Reproduction has become quite popular of late due to vast improvements in wide format printers, imaging capabilities, and vibrant inks. Our printer is also UV and water resistant as well as being environmentally friendly; however, some are not.
Giclée printing is not a science, but an art of its own with a formidable learning curve which I have veered around with some trepidation over the years; however I am at last proud and confident of my abilities as well as the esoteric knowledge of my excellent printer on the various canvas types I have printed upon. We can create stunning giclées from oil painings, photographs, computer generated art, and watercolor on matte or gloss paper or artist canvas as well as 300# watercolor paper. Come see what we can create together!. Bil |

Giclées
Most reproductions are now called giclées (pronounced zee-clayz), which is derived from the french verb, gicler, meaning to spray or squirt. Giclées involve creating a digital file of your oil, acrylic, watercolor, or whatever medium you create in, and printing it on artist canvas or other substrate, mounting it either on stretcher bars or backing, and delighting the world with a beautiful print that is as close to your original as you can get.
Giclées are a way for the artist to sell quality reproductions without losing their original painting, and giclées are more affordable for the public as well. This way the artist can make a better living from his art and still get his art in the hands of many.
A giclée can be made from any painting, high quality print, lithograph, or even a photograph. Special effects can be applied for enhancement if the client so desires. We can output onto matte, gloss or satin artist canvas, 300-pound watercolor paper, glossy paper, matte paper, or translucent white film for backlit applications, depending on your personal tastes or needs. Artwork may also be imprinted onto exterior quality flag material as well as cotton fabric and wallpaper. |
